Abyss eSports Club is excited to announce the newest addition to our Club with the acquisition of Leon ‘Frae’ Lee. Frae will be playing in the Mid Lane for our League of Legends OPL team in 2017.
With the recent suspension of our mid laner, the Abyss eSports coaching staff was put under a lot of pressure to secure a talented mid laner before the roster lock deadline.
Our head coach Nick ‘General’ McKenzie is excited to welcome Frae to the roster, saying, ‘We are really happy with the decision to pick up Frae. He is a very talented mid laner who a lot of teams may have overlooked due to his last OPL split as an ADC. Frae is primarily a Mid laner, and we are very excited to showcase his talent next year.’
Frae played for Hellions eSports Club last split as an AD Carry. He is very excited to finally be able to return to his primary role. Leon is looking forward to the season ahead with Abyss, stating, “I am incredibly excited to finally play my first competitive split as a mid laner and want to thank Abyss eSports Club for the opportunity. I look forward to working hard alongside the talented players on the roster right now and becoming a top team in 2017.”
With only days before the team officially moves into the Sydney Gaming House, the players and management are looking forward to a competitive year.
